ORCHESTRE DE PARIS ANNOUNCES 2024/25 SEASON

Hot off the heels of the critically accliamed tour to the States and Canada, the Orchestre de Paris has announced the programme for it’s fourth season with Klaus Mäkelä. With a focus on French composers and new works, the 2024 / 25 season pays tribute to the anniversaries of both Ravel and Boulez and features music by Berlioz, Fauré, Debussy, Poulenc and Messiaen. New commissions see the premieres of Thierry Escaich’s “Lux Aeterna” and Charlotte Bray’s “A Sky Too Small” and guest soloists include violinist Lisa Batiashivili and pianists Mitsuko Uchida and Yunchan Lim.

In addition to eight weeks of concerts at home in the Philharmonie and at the Louvre Museum, Mäkelä and the Orchestre de Paris perform in residency at the Vienna Musikverein, Hamburg Elbphilharmonie and on tour to Baden Baden, Essen, Brussels, Amsterdam, Cologne, Frankfurt, the BBC Proms, Granada and Lucerne Festivals. They return to Asia for their second tour in two years, closing the season in June 2025 with three weeks of concerts in South Korea, Japan and Taiwan.
