KLAUS MÄKELÄ MAKES HIS JAPANESE CONDUCTING DEBUT WITH TOKYO METROPOLITAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

After stunning debuts in North America with the Minnesota Orchestra and NAC Orchestra, Ottawa, this week Klaus Mäkelä makes his Japanese conducting debut with the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra at Suntory Hall on 13 May.

The programme features Sibelius’ Lemminkäinen, Beethoven’s Concerto No.4 with Lukáš Vondráček, and Sibelius’ Symphony No.1.

Mäkelä then returns to Europe to debut with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra on 16 May. In June he returns to Tapiola Sinfonietta to conduct Rossini’s Stabat Mater at the Urkuyö Festival on 7 and 8 June.
